Illustration
There are three figures in the illustration. To left and in the background of the illustration is a man wearing a brown suit and hat, smoking a pipe and looking at some papers.
In the foreground, towards the centre is a shorter, younger man - probably an apprentice. He is wearing a green shirt with rolled-up sleeves, blue dungarees and is smiling with one hand on his hip..
Slightly in front of him, taking up much of the right hand side of the illustration is a taller, older man, putting a ladder up against a wall. He is wearing a blue shirt, also with rolled-up sleeves, brown dungarees and a red cap. The ladder is coloured red with brown rungs.
Colour is again used liberally with shades of brown and yellow in the foreground representing the earth and shades of blue and red detailing the buildings in the background.
Text
The text is spread over 5 lines and runs from the top left corner to read:
"Today, through your Union you
have a say in your conditions,
proper apprenticeship is
recognised. Progress is governed
by your interest.
Again, the text is in black and has a handwritten-type appearance.
