Archival historyThis photograph has been mis-identified as delegates to the Pan-African Congress in Manchester, 1945. It is more likely to be the West African National Secretariat (WANS)/West African Students' Union (WASU). WANS was a Pan-Africanist movement founded by Kwame Nkrumah, based in Britain, in December 1945, immediately following the Manchester Pan-African Congress.
