"Young Communist League" forms an arch, beginning level with the base of the circle on the left side and finishing on the opposite side, with each letter 20cm high.
In much smaller letters (8cm) either side of the circle at its base are the words "London District"
Across the bottom of the banner, in letters 15cm high are the words "Hendon Branch".

    Physical descriptionDimensions (H x W): 130cm x 168cm.

    Materials
Probably a cotton-synthetic mix, 2-ply stitched together. A thick seem running horizontally across the banner suggests it is constructed of two separate pieces of material, stitched together. All details are painted, possibly separately before being transferred onto the material.

    Hanging Mechanism
There is no actual hanging mechanism but white cotton ties have been attached to each corner, except bottom left where the tie is black.
