Scope and ContentSketch of a house in Radcliffe Street, Skelmanthorpe. Inscription on the back reads: House where Mr Bird lived. The flag of freedom was buried in the garden of that house, Ratcliffe Street, Skelmanthorpe. Mr Bird wove the flag in the house. At that time nearly all people were engaged on weaving in their own houses at Skelmanthorpe (cottage industry)
